Crossbelt technology.
Precisely processed edges.
Edge rounding and light deburring after laser cutting, wear compensation and processing of film-protected parts. Discover how the DM range technologies work.
Features and equipment depend on the model, version and configuration. Images illustrate the technologies shown.
Two belts.
Action from opposing directions.
Abrasive blocks mounted on two crossbelts move in opposite directions. Their action processes the external edges and internal contours of the part.

Contact with part edges
Abrasives are selected to suit the processing operation.

Transverse movement
The belts work in opposite directions to process contours.

The part passes between stations
Configuration and consumables are adapted to the application.
Crossbelt processes sharp edges and light burrs. In ZC and Z2C configurations, the Z abrasive belt station removes burrs before rounding by the C stations.

Wear is measured.
The setting is compensated.
On versions equipped with this system, starting the station triggers an automatic abrasive measuring cycle. The measured wear is sent to the control system, which compensates for it to maintain the set rounding pressure.
- 01Measurement
Crossbelt abrasive wear is assessed.
- 02Transfer to control
The measured value reaches the control system.
- 03Compensation
The system compensates for wear to maintain the set working pressure.
Automatic compensation must be confirmed for the chosen machine. One example documented by the manufacturer is the DM1100 DC EVO.

The edges can be processed.
In suitable configurations, crossbelt technology allows edge processing of film-protected parts while preserving the original surface finish.
The operation is configured according to the material, film type and desired result. The photograph shows a part with surface protection applied and a processed contour.
